As others have said, you dont need to wash the car after every step lol. Also, you didnt mention, how are you drying it?

Chamois for drying. Didn't think there were many options in that department.

Washing between steps may be a lot of effort, but it also gets any extra product out of seams...so I do like that.

If you are getting "extra" product in the seams you are probably using too much. Once the pad is primed a nickel sized drop is all you really need to do an 18"x18" area effectively. You can always add more if needed, much more difficult to take extra way.

really, a leaf blower? Not sure if you are serious about this. Don't you run the risk of blowing a bunch of debris onto the car? I did use an air compressor on my wheels though...

(puts leaf blower on list of needs for house/yard work )

The blower method works amazing well, start at the top and work downward. I dry an entire car with a blower and one MF towel for dabbing up small drips only in under 15 minutes. It's faster and virtually eliminates swirls from misuse of towel/MF drying.

I use a leaf blower as well. It works a lot better on my car which has been detailed and had sealant applied somewhat recently than my father's which hasn't been detailed in over a year.
