If you don't want it to look like you applied bunch of fish oil to your tires, want longevity and like a new tire look use 303 or Meg's Natural Shine. Yes, Meg's Natural Shine is for interior but it works wonders on the tires too. It's thicker than hyper shine and will outlast it.

You are right it definitely works great for the weatherstripping! But for the larger rubber moldings I use Shin Etsu Grease. The smaller ones I use 303 with a Q-Tip

Tire dressings are so personal. Everyone has their own taste and opinion. That being said . . . . . .
POORBOY'S WORLD Bold N Bright Gel has been my fave for quite awhile:
It's a water-based gel or cream (whiteish). Easy to apply with a foam applicator (not included).
More substantial than 303. Gives a nice sheen. Won't rub off on pant legs or sling on fenders.
Sheen can be controlled by wiping tire following application. Or let it set for more sheen.
Only drawback is you can't by OTC like Meguiars, Eagle One, etc. I've ordered through Autogeek.
Hope this helps!

Turtle wax tire shine spray
It's relatively inexpensive, it lasts longer than other products I've used, and most importantly it DOESN'T FLING OFF all over my door and fenders. I've used the Armoral solid with the sponge thing before (I use it if I ever run out of my other stuff) and even though people say it flings off less than the sprays... that's crap because it flings off the worst. And that's even after I buff it in to make sure there's not residue.
Walmart
Convenience, cheap
See above. I've used several different products for this and this one stood out to me. Watch out though, it's a very strong hydrophopic layer wax once it dries, so if you spray it directly to the tire it will do a GREAT job of protecting your wheels from brake dust and other dirt but it will leave "shiny rings" on the pavement that are super obvious when wet so put down a cloth to catch the overspray and you won't have this problem
