tire wet?

If I want glossy wet I use Meguiar's tire gel. The spray stuff never seems to work out very evenly.

do a search or browse back a few pages in this section. ICE has been reviewed a couple of times. Also check out the reviews over on Autopia.org.

i heard tire wet, or anything making your tires still look wet, damages your tires. is it worth it to use such a substance?

Depends on how quickly you go through tires. If you're replacing them every season or two, I wouldn't worry about it too much. If your car doesn't see that many miles and tires are likely to be replaced every 4-5 years, then I'd avoid any of these petroleum-silicone sprays as - over time - they can damage the rubber in your sidewalls.

I prefer using 303 or Armor All on tires - they're very similar in that they're both water-based silicone protectants. If you want a shiny, glossy look, spray it on, let it set overnight without wiping it off (though clean up overspray on the wheels), give it a smooth-out wipe (not buffing, just a light wipe to even it out) the next day and repeat the process for a couple of days. Not only does this result in an EVEN NO-SLING shine, it's also a pretty durable protection. Mine has lasted through a couple of washes. Just touch it up with an overnight spray whenever the mood strikes you.

Here's a pic of what I got from 2 applications:

thanks. they're actually quite cheap - if you look closely you'll see those are Blizzak LM22's - my winter tires on inexpensive rims for the winter. I think they're "Sport Edition" from Tire Rack.
