Default Top patch help needed....

Im starting to develop a small hole in my top,on the passenger side. I wanted to know what you guys use as patches, and where I can get one. The hole is almost invisible from the outside, but fromt he inside, you can clearly see light shining in. I put duct tape on it from the inside temporarily, but would like to fill it in. Any advice? Maybe point me to a good product?

Thanks again!

Just read the whole thing....not much help in terms of patching. No product info or anything.

I just want to add a 1.5" by 1.5" patch, as well as glue the hole up. The glue needs to be flexible oviously, since the top moves, and wondering what to use for a patch.

point well taken- we need to improve on that!

is your car under warranty? (that was one of the suggestions in the thread)
if not, i would check with the dealer to see if you can get some scraps of top material. you would then glue them from the inside... but the first step is getting the right material.

Damn, I really dont want to deal with my dealer. The car is a month out of warranty, but they wouldnt fix it anyway.

You dont know of any "convertible top patch repair kits" out there?

You seem like a good negotiator. Click on the link here and talk to hondacare. It never hurts to ask. I got mine replaced at 75% goodwill and I was at 66K, no extended warranty, and no relationship with the dealership.

I was at nearly 80k miles, almost six years old and I managed somehow to wriggle 100%, including installation (I was originally told Honda would pay for parts, but on pickup they covered install too).

I think Honda feels guilty when a clean S comes in with a ratty top
