Default Touch up

Was trying to pull between a tight spot and a rubber wheel from a trash can grazed the bottom part of my front bumper. It's hardly noticeable, so it should buff out no problem. I've polished my entire s2k before, but this will be my first touch up. Do I need to strip the paint sealant and wax before I polish the small area, or can I just wash (doesn't strip the sealant and wax) , clay, and then polish? Its a very small area. Won't the clay take care of stripping semantic and wax in the small area?

I'm using my phone and auto correct is a bitch. That last sentence should say "won't the clay take care of stripping the sealant and wax in the small area?"
