Default TouchUp123 review

Many of us have been wondering about the effectiveness of TouchUp123. I, myself, have been one of them. Well now that spring has finally opened its weather up for some of us, I took time to try it out on the driver side of my front bumper.

I used the standard kit as the only notable differences I could find between the standard and deluxe were the types of towels.

I'm actually quite impressed with the product. It does not completely eliminate the problem areas but it sure improves on it, and with such ease! You just prep the area with a soft towel and the FTC and buff it out just like applying wax (standard kit came with cotton terry towels, I used a yellow Microtex polishing towel with no knaps to apply and a Costco microfiber towel to buff), apply the ColorFill with the included applicator by smearing it over the chips, and then cleaning it up by repeating the first step.

For $39.99, I'd say it was worth it. I plan on polishing the area after the touch-up cures, which the instruction says takes about 3 days.

I'd also like to mention that I didn't take as much time as I should have and didn't care to fill in the big chips with the included paintbrush, so I could've done a better job.

I will follow up again after I do a second and more thorough run, this time trying the passenger side of the front bumper.

Sorry about reviving this old post...

The product worked just like the OP said, however i had a problem with the bigger chips and scratches...

I went ahead and used the alternate method on their website for fixing larger chips and scratches by letting the blobs cure for 2-3 days and then using a buffer (it didn't say what type) with a light pad and light compound to smooth down the blobs...according to their site, it is supposed to leave an almost unnoticable repair...

After two days of letting the blobs cure, i tried using a blue Edge pad on my PC with some light compound...no luck, blobs just stayed there...i kept stepping it up until i was using a green Edge pad with Poorboys SSR3...i was at it for quite a while and the blobs are still not flush and i'm afraid to go any more...

Tried emailing them two days ago with my problem and no response...tried calling three times today and all i get is voicemail...

Has anyone tried the alternate method? I hope i don't have to wetsand all these blobs...has anyone used their Blob Doctor product?
