Default trying to keep Tiffany

sup s2ki fam,

As you all know, the weather has been kind of wet lately. I don't know if everyone here does this, but AS SOON as I spot water/rain (or after a wash) on "Tiffany", I wipe her down, pop gas tank & wipe that down, insert shammy in the spaces between head/tail lights & front/back bumper & soak up any moisture, open up both doors/trunk & get in between/under both jambs, then finally pop open the hood & attempt to soak up any residual moisture that may have been left behind.

My inquiry to you all is, is there a solution on how to prevent "Tiffany" from getting wet on the inside? (that's what she didn't say lol) I know there's still a few areas in the engine bay where I couldn't reach, & it's bugging me! I've been thinking of acquiring some sort of one-sided adhesive foam tape & running it along the underside perimeter of the hood & in the gap of the fender where the water usually gets through. Anyone here that has come up with a solution, or has any opinions on this matter?

Thanks in advance! peace

I don't have an answer for you, but I just wanted to say I'm glad there is someone out there who is even more anal about keeping their S2 clean than I am . I "clean" mine off after every drive (which is usually only once a week), but I just use a quick detailer.

I'm really not sure how you could prevent water from getting under the hood. I would *think* it shouldn't get a ton of water under there unless you're consistently driving through downpours and it kicks up into the engine bay from underneath. Maybe invest in a cheap beater and keep the S2 out of the elements?

A garage if you're really worried about it. Water from rain isn't going to hurt.

This seems a little obsessive but whatever, have you considered a leaf blower?

I'm not a detailing master but I've seen quite a few detailers use them to dry a car off quickly.
