Default Turtle Wax rubbing and polishing compounds

Just wanted to let you all know my experience w/ Turtle Wax's rubbing and polishing compound products (got them at Auto Zone, they are in a liquid form and safe for clear coats). I had swirl marks all over my car, especially on the hood, and I slaved over the car all day today (HAND buffed, I've been too cheap to buy a power one LOL). Even w/ just using only good ole fashion elbow grease, the results turned out well and I'm happy--the paint finish finally looks deep and glossy black w/ basically no swirl marks
Sorry no pics now, but just picture a nice and shiny black finish I guess!

it's this product, along w/ the polishing compound thats in a similar looking bottle but black instead of green (auto stores usually have both of them shelved next to each other)

Unfortunately with these products the swirls will re-appear since all these waxes are doing is filling in the swirl marks. You should try to find a way to have your car polished to remove the swirls, and then keep up with the maintenance.

Not true I don't think--these are rubbing and polishing compounds, not wax. These are similar to what would be used after wet sanding to bring back the glossy finish, and should remove some of the clear coat. I waxed the car after I used these products
