Default Wackos, I fail you.

I made a mistake today.

I had put window tint on my rear window (plastic). Well, I should have realized to use static cling and not adhesive backed. After I put my top up and down a few times, it began to wrinkle, badly. So today I took all the tint off, knowing the adhesive would be left behind so I was prepared for that with an arsenal off "Goo-Gone" type products, plastic polish, PC, etc. NOTHING took it off, not ONE thing made a difference. Enter desperate measures: S.O.S. pad. *cringe*

Yea, it's bad.

Hairline scratches EVERYWHERE throughout my top window now. Ive used the PC and all my products I own to try and get them out, I even broke out my new Makita!! (btw, love that thing), all to no avail. Is there ANYTHING I can do to right this wrong?

*hangs head in shame*

Get an upholstery shop to glue in a replacement window?

Didn't Charlie say he was thinking about ditching his softtop altogether now that he's got the hardtop on?

Will it work for scratches though? I know it'll be fine for hazing and what not, which mine does not have a problem with. If it will rid scratches, Ill buy it tonight.

8 - oz. Starter Kit
8oz Polish 1 - Clean & Shine
8oz Polish 2 - Fine Scratch Remover
8oz Polish 3 - Heavy Scratch Remover
Two NOVUS Polish Mates
Product Brochure
Heat-Sealed in Polybag

I'm guessing it will. I haven't used mine since the fall, on a S with a plastic window, so I don't remember if it had scratches or not. I think it did though.

Hmm, wish someone had experience with this stuff before I dropped the coin on it.

Well, I dropped the coin on it and it barely made a dent in the scratches. Clarity is a *bit* better, but hardly worth the 2 hours it took me of non-stop polishing to make it. Sigh... Time to go top shopping. :/

sorry to hear matt. on the flip side you can either just get the plastic window itself, or do a glass-top conversion. if u have/are willing to drop money on a new top it'd b well worth it to go with a conversion IMO
