water in headlight
FYI
Our headlights are sealed, but wait; We have 4 large holes in them too. Those holes also have rubber seals. almost everyone forgets about them.
If you find that your headlights have moisture in them. You should do the following:
1. Remove the headlights from the car. (See www.ricks2k.com for diffuser installation instructions)
2. Dry the headlights out with a blow drier.
3. Bake them in the oven for 10min @ 225
4. Clamp them closed by hand. You will see the black seal expand against the clear lens.
5. Let them cool slowly. Quick swings in temp when they are open (no lights) can cause moisture to collect in the lights again.
6. Reinstall the headlight.
7. Using Shituz Grease (sp? you know the stuff for our tops) lube the rubber seals of each lamp.
Now everything should be better then new. Also this assumes that your headlights have never been opened to be cleared.
