water spots

are leaving water spots on the car bad for the paint?

yes- if they dont come up with a quick detailer, use plain vinegar on them... put it on a rag and dab it on the spots then rub them out.
after that, wash the car and then you need to put a good wax on it

if you dont remove them, they can etch the paint- a real pia to fix !

will a quick detailer get rid of the nxt wax thats already on it?

qd prob wont get rid of the nxt... but the spots might have already done that depending on how bad they are. vinegar will get rid of it for sure.

you really got get the spots off of the car quickly to keep them from etching.

interesting, we been having rain for weeks now.


wanabe, Would putting some vinegar with some water in a spray bottle be good to do the whole car. I've seen some(many) on my car should this be ok before its gets hard to get rid of?

could using dishwashing soap be an alternative to vinegar? i'm just hesistant to put bad smelling vinegar all over my car.
