Driving fast dries the car!
I'm a newbie to the wash and wax scene so my experience is probably common. But ever since I polished up the car I've been hesistant to take it out and see all my hard work gone but I had to drive it sooner or later right? Well as soon as I took it out it started to rain. As soon as I got out of dinner I saw all the water beaded up on the car, I figure I would just wipe it down when I get home. As soon as I get home I get out and notice that 90% of the water beads have disappeared! The only thing water drops remaining was on the back side of the car! Very cool!
yup, that means you did a good job with your wax or synthetic-
be careful wiping it down after rain... you are prob better off washing it the next day, unless you are certain that there is no sand or grit on the paint. rain can easily cause grits to splash up on the paint. if you have any and you wipe it down you can cause swirls.
but back to the original idea... which is right on- your wackiness is paying off (your wax is protecting your car nicely)

Waxes/sealants do a great job repelling water. I love watching the hood as all the beads slide off when I back up out of the parking space.
Also, if you're going to wipe off your car after it rains use a good QD with cleaning properties like Poorboy's Spray & Wipe.

When this happens to me I tough it out and rinse the car off in the rain with a hose. Gets the dirt off the car before it drys and then I pull it into the garage. Then you can get rid of water spots with QD.
