Default Wax and car covers

I want to get a car cover for the S. I am, however, concerned about what the cover can do to the paint of the car is waxed/polished via porter cable. Do you guys use covers on your waxed S? I'm looking at the OEM cover, mainly because it is fitted for the S. Any suggestions? Thanks!

5 thumbs up for the honda cover... i have two of them.
they are soft, nice amount of pad and breathe well. they keep hands outta the car and protect the sides too.

they are not for weather- they are more like dust covers. if you need rain protection, they dont do it.

in my opinion, the honda cover is one of the best/ softest and will do the least damage to your wax job. my car is covered by that cover unless i am in it and it has never swirled or hurt my paint at all. i do keep the car clean- it stays clean by a duster followed by detail spray once a week or so, or any time i see dust on the car.

Just keep ther cover clean and avoid putting the cover over a dirty car to minimize possible abrasion. Always get a cover that breathes and is the best quality you can afford and you will have no problems.

jeez- i only have about 6 of them!!
i "dedicate" them to my cars (each car has its own duster)- the s2000's is in its trunk (and is a "knock-off"- it has a plastic handle instead of wood, like the true calif duster- my other dusters all are wood).

i also have a small one for wheels and lower parts.

they are all versions of the calif duster. some have plastic handles and some wood handles. they are all red fabric, and wax coated. you have to cure them when you get them. my older ones look almost black- they all work like new.

the trick of the duster is not to wipe it- instead, you "flick" it across the car (only the ends touch the car, not the entire threads).

have never swirled any of my cars with the dusters. and i always follow the dusting with a detail spray. i usually use sprays with wax or synthetic for this purpose. when i use detail sprays for clay (i often use foamers with car shampoo), i use sprays without added protection.

the combo of cover- dust- n -spray cant be beat for a wacko's tool kit, imo!

I like the OXO Good Grips dusters. They have ergonomic handles with softer rubber grips.
