no everyone this is not my work I found it over on autopia, Is this the cause of not prepping the pad with quick detailer?? using too little polish?? leaving the udm/pc in one spot for too long?? Is this what they call holograms?? thanks!

 

You can see both holograms and cob webbing (a/k/a swirl marks) in the finish of this car. This was most likely caused by an unskilled detailer using a rotary buffer.

That is by far the worst i've ever seen.

 

IIRC the thread on Autopia that this picture is from mentioned that this car was on a car dealer's lot. Good job on the detailing stealership.

 

i just gotta wonder whether he paid someone to do that!!

as mikeyc suggests, it would make sense that a dealer prob did it- they are known for messing up paint!

if this was caused by a rotary, what would cause the rotary to do this?? Did he leave it in one spot too long?? dirty pads?? too little compound?

 

the guys who used the rotary used too high of a speed
