For many years I hoppily used the Autoglym synthetic chamois. However I have recently invested in an 'Absorber' - this thing is incredible, the amount of water this thing picks up seems to defy the laws of physics!

Where can I find an Absorber, is it a Zaino product?

I haven't seen them in UK - I bought mine at a branch of Walmart in the States - a real bargain at $9 - I wish I had bought a few more. I'm sure someone on the UK board must be visiting the states soon - I am sure we could blag them into bringing a couple of dozen back with them (explain that to customs!!)

.......No,no, the Absorber 'sucks' - it pulls water off the car like nothing else

Xviper - no pictures I am afraid (my wife already has serious doubts about my sanity, if she caught me in the garage taking artistic pictures of synthetic chamois - that could be the end!!!)

However, a description - well, the absorber comes in its own plastic cylinder with a nice pop-off lid. This means that when you store the thing it stays moist (and dust/grit free). The cloth itself is quite large - I am guessing here, but say 16" by 30". It is slightly thicker than natural chamois and is available in a wide range of eye watering colours! I haven't tried it yet, but apparently when the thing gets a bit manky, you can just toss it in the washing machine (but not tumble drier!!)

Hope this helps!!

Ian

Looks like that, except it's more of a flourescent yellow in reality. It come's in several colors too.
