Just curious to see what everyone uses to wipe the car while washing. I have learned that using your bare hand instead of cotton towels works perfectly.

lol... that's a new thing. maybe i should try that. i find that the lint-free towels from target works very well. i hate sponges and mits. i bought them both and they tend to give scratches (very little ones... you need to really look at the car from a certain angle to see). when i got these lint-free towels, they worked so nice.

mysk2s2000-
those "scratches" that you are talking about are called swirls!
i use a lambswool mitt... and wash it well by hand after washing the car. the car must be rinsed well and the mitt never put on the ground (i use a cardboard box for my supplies and put nothing on the ground). after 3 years my car is finally showing some swirls, but not from my mitt...
and always top first then sides then bottom (i do not use my mitt for the very bottom- i use cotton rags for that) as mentioned above!

hey thanks s2k_9000rpm!!

yup its an '00...
and a few of those mods were being installed when we met (the drilled & slotted rotors and the smoked diffusers). those rotors really help make the "clean look" of the car (sure am glad to be rid of the rust!).

Lambswool mitt for washing and microfiber towels for everything else. I also run a hose from the shower head fitting through the window to get warm (not hot) running water so I need to use as little force as possible.

i know this may be slightly ot, but i'm new to the zaino stuff.
they say the first step is dawn wash.
what do you guys use to apply it with? (not the same mitt that you use to wash the car with, i'm assuming)...or do you?
also...once you apply the dawn, rinse it off..do you dry first before going to the clay? or just let it stay wet after rinsing it off?
hope i didn't whore the thread.
