Ok

Washed the car with Auto Glym soap,

Washed the car with Dawn (to get all the old wax off)

Washed the car with Auto Glym again to get all the dawn off

Clay bar'd with z18 clay bar

Polished car with M105 (removed all swirls and paint defects)

Polished again with P40

Final step with Zaino Z-2

Detailed all the trim with poor boys trim restorer, hit the trim with 303 aerospace

applied shinetsu grease to hardtop/soft top rubber seals

Detailed interior with Auto Glym interior detailers

detailed leather with zainos leather in a bottle

vacuumed the car and shampooed the carpets

removed wheels and did a complete detail, hit them with a coat of Z-2

hit the rubber with some meguiars tire shine

polished exhaust tips with mothers

detailed engine bay

lifted the car on 4 jack stands and detailed the under body w/ a foam gun got all the sand/dirt out

added some silicone based protectants to the CV rubber joints

clay bar'd the windows (including hardtop rear window) and hit it with some rainx

Scared to take the car out for the next 2-3 month due to the rain season, what should I do? or do next?

can't take the car out for nice pictures due to crap florida weather

THAT is a thorough detailing.

In terms of next steps, I might work up to 4-5 (or more) coats of Z2. If you have ZFX, you can do a couple of coats in an afternoon. That will be solid protection. I think I might have had upwards of 8 coats on my S at one point. After that, you could hit it with a layer or two of a nice carnauba and maintain with that every other wash so you've got that plasticky Zaino reflective protection with some deep wet carnauba on top.

Have you treated the leather?

Did you detail and treat the plastic wheel well liners? (303, Armor All, any plastic protectant will do)

Otherwise, enjoy the car!

And use proper washing technique to prevent any more damage while maintaining the surface.

Wow I haven't thought about using more coats of Z2, I will go put on 1 more and see how it goes, which carnauba do you recommend?

Good advice on the wheel liner (i just foam guned and cleaned em out) will go hit them with 303.

I used the 2 buckets method with grit guard and hose filter and always freshly washed cobra drying/detailing towels.

It's just that I left my car at home while on vacation and my cousin took my car through one of those car washes (not the touchless one) and put a myriad of swirls and other crap in to my paint, I had to save the S.

After more coats should I drive her or wait out the rain season?

Autoglym HD if you want a nice paste wax

All about if you want the car to get wet. With the wax/zaino as an LSP you will keep your finish looking good but need to be more diligent on the up keep as it will wear faster with all the water.

How long is the rainy season?

And yeah, I'd say half the point of Zaino is layering on coat after coat after coat. I sometimes doubt the reality of multiple coats making a difference, but pictures do speak pretty loudly (5 coats on this one):

I've heard good things about Autoglym HD, but I'd only pick it up if you can get it for under $50.
There are a lot of good carnaubas in the $25-50 range

For example:
- P21S (super easy on and off)
- Dodo Juice Supernatural (30ml sample size, should be enough to do the S2000 5x or so)
- Collinite 915
- Souveran Liquid

Of course, the difference in your eyes might be minimal, if at all noticeable on silver.
I will say that the waxes will attract dust more than the bare Zaino.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Zaino Z-2 is a polish and not a sealant or wax...so aren't you missing the wax/sealant on the paint and the wheels?

Did you 303 the top? (both cleaner and protectant...even though you have a hardtop, I'm assuming the soft top is still intact)

Zaino refers to their Z-2/5 as "polish" but it is, in fact, a polymer sealant and has NO cleaning or abrasive properties.

He's already got Z2 on the wheels. If anything, more coats, just like on the paint!
