i need to get the swirls and microscratches out of my clearcoat. i do have an orbital buffer. i use zymol auto bathe to wash my car. now i need to know what to use first, 3m swirl remover or zymol hd cleanse?. then i have the zymol japon wax to seal it. i also have 303 protectant for my conv. top.

i have used zymol bathe too... great sheeting action!
i would wash the car, then 3m swirl remove-
then wax/ or synthetic finish-
and buff to a newer than new car shine! (make sure that you use the proper pads on the orbital for each step of the process)

wanabe - does the 3M swirl remover leave anything wax-like on the surface? I.e. can you zaino right after using it?

the 3m leaves nothing... it is a mild grit polish, so it will "eat" a slight amount of clear coat (as do all polishes). as i understand it, the grit works best as it breaks down while you are applying it. i have used it on my daughters car- great results with the p.c.

after applying and removing, i did remove by p.c.- but went over the entire car with a micro fiber towel by hand before applying the final finish (we used finish first on her car). but nothing is left on the surface (nothing at all!!!)
yes, you can zaino right after removing...
probably z1 then z2.
