I hate to hijack this thread but my car looks similar azndrunkyoon"'s, the scatches are not as deep but the "snow" or paint chips are terrible, I have read a few posts by you guys and decided that its repairable and not only curable by a new paint job, So I was wondering if there is a how too including where to buy all the materials needed to remove all the scratches swirl marks, water spots, and chips in the paint, SIGH, any info would be GREATLY APPRECIATED

yikes..... but at least it has been done, so basically fill all the chips with a paint pen, wet sand it down with the PC, use a rubbing compound like 3M, once thats done use a another one like meguiars 83? then a coat of some polish (like zaino?) then done? Well thanks for all the info. I think im going to go ahead with this when I get it all straightened out and then buy the "clear bra" so I dont have to do it again!
Thanks again

It's really up to you. If your front end is that hosed and you most likely need a repaint, it wouldn't hurt to try I guess. When wet sanding try not to get any color on your sandpaper or you are through the clear coat.

i agree with ubetit... you dont have much to lose here!!

and langka is not a bad idea- worst case if you dont like it, you can always go back to the old fashioned method!

good luck with this- and be sure to take pics of the process and post em up so that the next guy who needs to do this will have something to follow!

no, please don't go wetsanding with the PC. That will remove your clearcoat in a hurry. Wetsand by hand (carefully), then use the PC w/ a polish of some sort to remove the scuffs left behind.
