good background info:

http://properautocare.com/noname.html

lake country pads are good:
and more info on them-

sonus pads and info on what they do:

sounds to me like you want a medium cut pad (usually yellow) and might need a bit more aggressive polish than a swirl remover. however, i would first try a swirl remover, like the one with my car in the ad (!) and would prob use a white pad for the first go at it (best to be conservative- often this will get off everything you want to remove and if not, you can go more aggressive):

if this doesnt get them all, you would next try a fine cut...
just make sure you really work the product!

most of that can be taken out with a pc...
and lots of working your product-
i see a couple of what look like down to the primer scratches- those wont come out by polishing.
from the pics i am guessing that you will need a fine cut compound.

depending on how deep the 2 scraches are in the top pics i would wetsand them with 1600 then 3200 grit sandpaper to take thoes out. the other scraches below look like they will buff out with a pc like wanabe said.

I agree with wanabe, some of those look awfully deep. If you can catch your fingernail in the scratch than it's too deep for anything but a re-spray.

The rest of those definately need something on the aggressive side like Meguiar's DACP or 3M PIII RC to start. Follow it up with a swirl remover, then maybe a glaze or light compound like Clearkote's Vanilla Moose.

With a few hours work you can get this...

To look like this...

The hood on this Celica was so bad it wouldn't reflect anything clearly when I got it.
