Default Wheel Protection

Hello guys,

I am waiting for my ADVAN RS/gunmetal to arrive. I am unsure if these are powdercoated or painted. I am wondering if you guys can direct me to a good wheel wax to protect the finish from the elements and from brake dust.

Also,

-What is the best finish to protect an aftermarket CANVAS soft top?

-Where is the best place to purchase a roll of clear bra for an aftermarket bumper? Any brand superior to another?

THNX!

I have not tried it yet, but I have read a number of good things about the use of Rejex as a wheel sealant. --Al

Used body wax on my Prodrives (powdercoated) and it left a residue.

I think you need a clearcoat to use wax. I may be wrong

and for a canvas top, raggtopp fabric protectant is good stuff, but a major pia to use- after you use it you will understand why we are so lucky to have good looking vinyl tops on our cars.

for fabric tops you have to mask all glass and paint. when i do fabric tops (like my wife's car), i take an old sheet and put the top up almost all the way- leave it down very slightly. then put the sheet over the front of the car and under the top. then spray the front of the top... on the bwm, you can lift up the rear part of the top to get the sheet under it. spray the stuff on the top and let it dry. i usually do a couple of light coats.

this stuff is like fabric protectant that you might use (scotch guard)

I've always used Klasse AIO and SG on wheels. Treat 'em once a year, off the car.
