Default White Exterior small scratch repair

well i dont have the s2k yet, but the one im getting is gpw with the all red interior, and the guy lives on a farm with a bunch of dogs running around... u can just imagine. well his dogs jumped up on the rear bumper and scratched it, the scratches arent that big, but i want them gone, does anyone know of anything i can use to maybe paint over or fill them in, and also any tips on getting smells out... he lives on a farm, and mice got in it, it smells aweful, the only reason im buying this one is because i dont have the money for anything better, and s2k is the car of my dreams. o ya, how many 17 y.o.'s do u see driving s2ks. dont worry, im not like those stupid ass ones that just crash their cars, im in it more for cruising, and a little speed once and a while(of course)

need better idea of how bad the scratches are- and what the smells are.

until then, i suggest that you detail the interior with the best vinyl and leather products and leave the car in the sun for a couple hours (top down of course)...

as for the exterior, if the scratches are not down to the metal they can easily be repaired. this will involve polishing with a random orbital machine. but without pics or a better idea of how bad the scratches are, i can not guess how aggressive you need to go with the polish.

I agree with wanabe.

A good interior cleaning with quality vinyl and leather products, vacuum (and maybe even shampoo) the carpet should help immensely with the smells.

And it's tough to give advice on the paint scratches. Give us some info as to how bad they are. Pics would be great, if you can.

Be sure to pick up some Folex for the interior and some febreez too...they can be had at your local Walmart, and as Wanabe said, if the scratches are not down to the primer or cannot be felt with your fingernail, they can be polished out

It sounds like he didn't take very good care of the car. Why would you want to buy a car that was abused?

u gotta remember 1. that he lives on a farm, and 2. im only 17 and cant afford anything more than 20k, which i looked and theres nothing comparable locally

and im pretty sure its just those things that need to be taken care of, but i am getting it inspected, he's got a honda care warranty so the mechanical side will be taken care of under that (which there shouldnt be any problems)

Not to knock on you, but you should see how much insurance prices will be. Even though you might be getting a good deal, can you afford the few thousand $'s it's gonna cost you to keep the car per year?

Yea, I'm 17 also, driving a MY05 S2k and the insurance was freakin $2.00 cheaper than my Civic LX.
