Well, the thing is, once you start peeling, you're committed.

Hey, it's gotta' be at least 3 oz. of weight. That's like 0.5HP at the butt dyno!

I'm so on the fence about this, no hard top yet and the silverstone looks slightly off without the tape and top up... but top down it looks so nice!! I just don't know
i agree with you here, as i am on the same fence. I'm leaning towards leaving it on. a decision will come by spring.

Oh man, you just pushed me off the fence! I think I'll wait until spring, but I'm going to take the plunge and take it off. I'll just have to "live with it" for during winter or rain.

Oh wait...

Now what if I end up getting a carbon fiber hardtop, now I'll want the tape on!!

Oh man..

Almost 5 years of wondering, I can't believe that I'm just finding out about this and always wondered why some weren't black. I can't wait to go do this I think it looks so much better without it, HT or no HT. I keep my car garaged and only have 20K miles on it so I hope the paint isn't too different.

If youre getting a Sebring Top and not CF or Black GO FOR IT.

it looks SOOOOO MUCH CLEANER.

Before you start. Be sure to read this entire thread.

So you know what you are getting into.

I think I used a can of adhesive and tar remover (that we had at the dealership when I worked there, we used it for EVERYTHING)
and it was supposedly safe for clear coat.....

Didn't hurt my car. Plus after I finally got all the sticky off I used some buffing compound (had 2 bad spots) and glaze.

oh and buy a case or two of beer. Sometimes it takes a while.
