Default Windshield washer

Hi,

What do you fill in your windshield washer reservoir with? Will Meguiars glass cleaner concentrate diluting 10:1 be any harm to your pump or wax/sealant on your paint?

Thank you,

Tim

hate to say it, but nothing...
in my other cars i do use glass cleaner. in the van i have about 1:1 cause its a road car and hits lotsa bugs.
it gets washed any time its dirty, which would also be just about any time i have to use the w washers- main thing is to use decent water to minimize water spots.

dont have windshield wipers on the s2000- the ultimate wacko car...

5% mix of Volvo windshield washer concentrate anti-freeze. I got a free bottle from work.

Tim,

I just use windshield washer fluid in my car. I live in New England. So, if I use more watery substances they could freeze in the reservoir and damage the spraying system.

I do often add P21S windshield washer booster to the fluid though.

Thanks for reply, MikeyC.

Who makes your washer fluid? I called Meguiars, they dont recommend to use their glass cleaner concentrate in car reservoirs even if we follow their diluting (10:1).

I don't buy any particular brand. I just get whatever they have at the auto parts store/supermarket/gas station that I'm at. P21S makes the the booster that I add to it.

I have an endless supply of deionized water at work. I live in Hawaii so the chance of freezing is pretty slim. We do get a salt haze after a day or two so I use it pretty often. The deionized water works great. No spots.
