Ultimate Detailer from Megs, and liking the Optimum No Rinse QD mix right now but doesn't leave a finish/coating.

I use either Meguiar's Ultimate Quick Detailer or Meguiar's Last Touch. I've heard good things about the FK425.

With Last Touch I have found that it sometimes works better if one dilutes it 50/50. I use it at this dilution for claying. I only use it at full strength for bird bombs, etc.

The most common cause of streaking or hazing with Last Touch is spraying too much of the stuff on the paint surface. Ambient conditions like temperature and humidity can also cause problems. Try using less of the product.

Also, are you using LT in the shade or in direct sunlight?

I'm assuming you are using good quality microfiber towels. You might try using two towels--one for the initial wiping and the second for the final buff.

I, too, have occasionally experienced streaking or hazing with LT, not consistently but sometimes. As mentioned, I have found that diluting it a bit with distilled water eliminates this problem; however, diluting LT for normal quick detailing use goes against official Meguiar's recommendations. This is one of the reasons I switched to FK 425 as my after-wash quick detailer.

This problem has been discussed in several threads on MOL:
