I usually keep two QDs on hand. One that's just for cleaning and one that has wax in it.
My cleaning QD of choice is Poorboy's Spray & Wipe. It provides superior lubricity for cleaning without causing marring and it really has great cleaning ability too. Plus, you don't need to buff until your arm falls off to get it to flash. Menzerna Top Inspection is a nice alternative by the way.
My QD with wax of choice is Zymol Field Glaze. It's loaded with oils so it leaves a nice wet shine behind and I find it works well with high end waxes like Zymol and Swissvax.

What is the consensus on DG Aquawax for a touch up between details, or use as a QD?
For a standard QD, Duragloss makes one called "Fast Clean and Shine" that I like a LOT. Much like AW, it leaves a nice, slick finish. And it's brain dead easy to use. I've never, ever had it streak on me, even on a brutally hot day. Give it a try. Meg's 135 Synthetic Spray Detailer is another one that I like a lot. For cleanup after polishing, #34 Final Inspection is really good too.
I used to be a big fan of Optimum Instant Detailer, but have abandoned it. It works wonderfully, but can be finicky, especially on a hot day. It needs a lot more buffing than a "quick detailer" really ought to.

i took my car back to the guy who detailed my car last week because i had a few blemishes on the hood appearing again,.........i told him i hadnt washed the car yet, only used the meguires final inspection on it once a day for the last week.
he took my car in the shop and hit the hood again with another polish,...after one pass he immediatly said "i dont like that stuff you used on the hood at all, i wouldnt use it anymore"...........even diluted to 50/50, it still steaked on me, even applied in the morning in the garage after the car sat all night but he said he could feel it in his buffer that it had removed some of the wax he applied a week earlier.......but whatever, my car looks good again, i tossed the final inspection and he gave me some stuff that only business' can get(ive never heard of it, but it is super easy to apply and you dont need to buff it all to get any shine, just spay and wipe)
