Smile Z-aio question

So.... I'm applying Z-AIO to my car... and it seems like a dime sized droplet... only gets me like a one square foot area covered, before it stops leaving a FAINT film on the car. And when I mean stops, I mean, I can't see ANY difference between where it has been applied, and where it hasn't (Tried it outside (In the shade) and under Halogens with same results)

I've tried three different kinds of pads. A Meguiars Foam Pad, a Cobra MF Applicator, and some other brand of Applicator (I think it's cobra also, but a different color) with the same results.

Should It be covering alot more? I heard people say they've used one ounce, to cover the entire S (I'm not using it on the S, but I got the same results when I used it on the S). When I used it on the S, I went through about... 1/8th of a bottle, maybe a little more. And it's a 16 ounce bottle. I know I'm applying it thin enough, because as SOON as I apply it, it basically instantly dries.

Anyone got any tips?

i like to use the machine to apply cause you know its on the pad... when its done right with the machine you can hardly tell that there is anything on the car. do a coupla coats of z-2 after- i let the first cure a bit before the second one, let it cure
and then i throw some p21s on top- especially on a black car!

I'd applying it on my White truck... (2006 Chevy 3500 Crew Cab Long Bed Diesel Dualie, Truck is over 20 feet long...).... Since my S is still wrecked. Went and looked at it today, and they had bumper and one fender off, and one fender drying from paint (So I guess they aren't baking them...) They were hella cool, and I asked for my badges off of it, and they were totally helpful and got them for me (Makes me want to cry... I miss my car)

Anyways....

Which pad do you use?
AIO removes anything under it correct? IIRC, this was discussed before, and it was determined you cant Layer AIO's...

i use either a pad with no cutting action or a light cut pad for the aio- its more of a paint cleaner than a swirl remover (very light polish)

yup- doesnt do any good to try to layer aios.

got any pics of your s in process??

Pretty much guessing that it was all caused from me down shifting + the rain.

Chain of Events:
Came up to the corner doing the speed limit of 45 in 3rd,
Pushed in clutch, and started braking, and put the gear in 2nd, but didn't let the clutch out.
Went around the corner at 10-15,
At the exit of the corner, let the clutch out, thats when I lost control.

When I hit the Guard rail, my car was doing about... 5 mph on my gauges (Does that count sideways too? lol)

Car ended up hitting the rail about like...

\ <- car
_____ <-Rail

You can see the marks from my tires sliding a little bit in the picture.

Anyone know tires that are REALLLLYY sticky on wet pavement? LoL, First thing I'm changing when I get it back, or get back from basic training.

dont remember- are you on s02s? if so, s03s do a bit better...
your downshift might have been the culprit without proper rev match-
and no matter what, if the water was deep enough you could have just been doomed cause of hydroplaning-

some good polishing and extra wax will fix the whole thing... or just a good photoshop on those pics might help!!

what are you talking about s02s or s03s??? What are those?

Down shifting, I shoulda been around... 1500 rpm, in second, doing about 10mph. which was where I was close to, May have been a little lower than that, cause I was riding the clutch for a while.

you should have taken that corner in gear. These cars are not ment to take corners in neutral or under braking. But you were going pretty slow, there must of been some oil or something on the road.

It hadn't rained for about a month, prior to that sprinkle that day, so all the oil from the road was coming back up (Which I didn't know )
