Zaino: I
I own a Boxster S and have done quite a bit of research as to whats the best protection available on a $60,000.00 car. The vast majority of German car owners use either Zymol or One Grand Blitz wax. As a matter of fact NO ONE in the German car community uses Zaino! It is my understanding that the Japanese finishes do work better with a polymer than the German finishes yet that still does not explain why people who own some of the finest automobiles made do not use this product!. One common misconception with waxes is that once you wash the car the wax is gone. Yes the wax will be washed off if your stupid enough not to use the right products. If you use a harsh detegent such as Dawn your wax will be stripped. Sonax car wash is a German product that is gentle on your wax finish and although any washing does remove wax the majority is left on the car. I can tell you from experience that One Grand Blitz Wax gives you an OUTSTANDING finish and holds up quite well.It is also VERY EASY to apply!. Now I know I am going against the majority on this board but I am trying to be open minded about the subject.
Very simple, read this: http://www.nsxsc.com/nsexcitement/waxtest.html This is what convinced me. If these guys agree on a $80,000+ car, it must be good for our little $32,000 cars!
I became a Zaino believer after the very first use! I used to own a successful mobile cleaning service for autombiles in the Eastern part of North Carolina. We always used a variety of products and I used a high line wax/polish from a distributor that contained teflon and carnuba! This product was simply phenominal! Worked so well on EVERY car that I guaranteed it's result for a full 6 months and never had a call back with any complaints! It was simple to put on the vehicle and had no restrictions like using it "out of the sun." When you buffed the wax, it left very, very little residue! These points were ALL very important as we were completely mobile and never knew what the environment would be around us (sunny, shady, etc. . .)!
I sold my business back in Spetember of '98 and decided to use my college education in the wireless field. After the sale of my business, I kept some of the chemicals that I used that made me so successful. One of those was the Teflon/Carnuba blend! It was'nt long before I took delivery of my dream car, the S2000!
Upon taking delivery, I brought it home and used the teflon/carnuba blend. To my surprise, the blend was not working. Figuring that the wax had somehow expired, I called my once distributor and asked if I could purchase another bottle of this wax. Again, now with the new "fresh" wax, I began the process and still, my paint never really took full form.
It was'nt until one day that I saw rstark's and William's S2000's on this board that I realized they were using a product called Zaino. I read up on some of the products and placed a rather satisfying order of Z1, Z2, Z5, Z6, concentrated car wash and Clay Bars.
WOW! Unbelievable results! My S2000 was incredibly slick and deep and rich! The berlina black paint looked so wet. Simply amazing. My wife was also very impressed and I later used it on her Accord with the same results! Since then, I've only used Zaino products because I feel they are the best! They are easy to use and affordable. I purchase all of my Zaino products from Steve Treece in Charlotte, NC. Great, no wait, OUTSTANDING service!!!
Here are some pics after the use of Zaino!

Looked like the car would have to be repainted. Sprayed with 409 and washed with lots of Dawn in hot water (try that with any wax). Believe it or not other than a cracked front spoiler and little deformed where bumper meets headlight the finish is perfect and Zaino is still intact. I can not swear my 12 coats of Zaino saved my finish but it sure did not hurt.

I've used both Blitz wax and Zaino, on British, German, Japanese and American paint...
Same conclusion on all: Zaino is easier to apply, produces a deeper shine, and last longer.
Anybody want to buy a half can of Blitz wax?
