Zaino vs. Meguiar's Gold Class ?
Imo, Zaino is the best. I used Gold Class, then found Zymol Japon slightly more durable and reflective. Zaino is noticeably more reflective than either, I think, and easier to use. Zaino will not get white residue between body panels, which I tended to leave in place but looked terrible with other waxes; besides, the residue was difficult to get out.
I purchased a red S2K a few months ago and have been using the Mequiars Gold Class. It has been looking -OK- but not as good as I'd like it to.
I think I'll switch to the Zaino, since it appears to be highly regarded. Has anyone made the switch and what "Z" items would you suggest I purchase?
P.S. William, your car looks great!

Get the following: Z1, Z2, Z5, Z6 and if you need car wash, get Z7. See www.zainobros.com for details.

The link http://www.lazaino.com/ may give you some ideas. Wash with Dawn to get old wax off. Z-7 wash afterwards is recommended, but I didn't do it, so Z-7 at first might be optional. Z-1 and Z-2 are necessary for Stook type paint Zaino treatment. If you like to use things like Meguair's Quick Detailer, Z-6 is very good, and made the Z-2 finish on my car even more slick after Z-2.

I switched from Meguiars Gold Class to Zaino, and comparing 2 coats of Gold Class to 2 coats of Zaino, the Zaino is the clear winner. And it gets better with 3+ coats. IMHO, the Z6 makes a very noticeable difference. As Sal recommends, I use it before and after each coat of Z2. The effect of the Z6 after a coat of Z2 or after drying the car off after washing it is obvious, once you see the before and after.
If you are going to use Zaino products, go the web site and read the "how to" section and the "Tips and Tricks". If you follow the directions exactly, you will get great results. If you compromise on the process or don't follow it properly, well, your mileage may vary.
