Got this e-mail from a friend today...
"well, it's been several weeks since waxing the car...as you'll recall, i zaino'ed the left half of the hood and zymol'ed the right half.
had some challenging weather (some pretty hot days and some large thunderstorms since).
anyways, i washed the car today and saw that it appeared that the zymol side appeared to bead and run faster than the zaino. the fingernail nest seemed to indicate that the zymol was slicker than the zaino as well...
this was in the shade, so i couldn't tell if one side looked shinier than the other, but as far as these "physical" tests, i'm giving the nod to zymol."
Not to stir up any trouble (I use Zaino myself and am happy with it); just to throw it into the air for some discussion...

I can understand your questioning. It's too difficult for me to get Zaino where I live.
I have a Porsche Cabriolet car kit (softop shampoo, rear plastic cleaner etc. ) and included in the kit, was exterior 'Porsche wax" and I used it today vs. Zymol and the Porsche wax came out better. So now I don't what to use either.

I have used both, but currently am favoring Zymol Japon. I think it shines better than Gold Class, and perhaps same as to a little less than Zaino.
I like the ease of application of Zymol. It is easier the better the paint prep is. Also make sure it is not left on to dry; that stuff is very solid once it dries and tough to buff down. I have found Zymol to be surprisingly durable.
If I had more time, I might do the Zaino with Zymol topping, but for now, Zymol is more than adequate.

Stwok - I removed the Porsche wax as it was nowhere near the Zaino finish. I'd say that the Porsche "polish" as its similar to Zaino's mixture but does not have the shiny wet look. I was tempted to apply some Z6 spray to it, but decided to F**k it and start over with dawn wash, clay.. I'm a complete Zaino-holic now..
