Like everyone else, my soft top has the factory defect. It hasn't cut open yet, but certainly would have very soon. To stop this, I applied a patch over top the area that's worn out. Then filed down the edges as per the TSB. Problem solved.

I have some cloth leftover that someone else could use to do the same thing. It's OEM Honda material, exact same material the roof is made from, made in Japan. I explored many many possible patch solutions, and decided this was the best way. It doubles your roof's thickness in that area, and doesn't look cheap.

This is a 9x6 inch piece, enough to patch passenger and driver sides if you wanted to. I have the packaging as well.
