Check the US and you will see a range in prices depending on condition and whether or not tires are included and what shape the tires are in.
In this case, these wheels need 2 new rear tires. Say $100 for shipping, and $300 for new crappy rear tires, these wheels just cost you $1000 and you still need new front tires in say 2 years. So his price is fair given you'll need new rubbers.
Vik, you can't compare yourself to someone else. We all know the truth. =P
Oh yeah, ap2V1's are better than crappy CR wheels any day. Just ask any racer.

oh, I wasn't comparing it to mine. I visit members classified area all the time and still I think $1000 was expensive. Of course I didn't really factor in the shipping cost though. Usually the ones in pretty good conditions without tires go for $600ish. Unless tires are decent with plenty of tread left on all four, I have never seen them adding much more value. Buyers usually don't like it either especially they increase the shipping cost, plus the cost of having to remove them soon after.
btw I'm not making any comment regarding OP's price lol. I think the price is very fair.

Why's that Ed?
I believe the v1's are the lightest of the 3 generations of wheels.

Vik, $600 usd for wheels (assuming absolutely 100% mint) add at least $100 for shipping (insured) and then 12% tax when they cross the border and now these wheels are going to cost you $784 usd and you still have no idea if the wheels are mint or not.
Sorry to go back to your story, but we all saw what happened. We know you didn't intentionally do it, but it is what it is, same goes for buying from Ebay or from anywhere that you can't physically see the items. (again, not refering to the OP)
So a local set with usable tires for $1000, imo is reasonable. But hey, there are other options too. Rota's are pretty nice wheels.
