Got into an accident yesterday exiting the turn about on the 56 from Rancho Penaquitos blvd. It had just started to rain and the rear end broke loose. Glad to be alive though. Walked away from the accident with just slight neck and back pain. Sucks about the car. I've only had the car for 3 weeks, ****!!!!

It sucks because I've dropped a good amount of cash in the 3 weeks I've owned it.

Been thinking about what car to get next. Either another s2000 but I would be scared as shit to drive it in the rain...or a WRX STi. We'll see!

Road was wet from the on and off showers. Wasn't going fast. I know the front tires had bridgestones and the rear had falkens. Skunk springs w/ stock struts. Suspension was pretty stiff.

On a better note, adjuster just took a look at the car and said I should be getting around 12-13k. Bought it for 11k. Just need to hear back from the total loss adjuster.

If I get another S2K will my insurance rate sky rocket? If I do get one it'll be an 06+ with the TCS.

Insurance will definitely be higher. Driving the s2 in the rain isn't bad. A little common sence matched with good tires does the trick. Insurance for the sti will be higher

Damn that sucks. I dont know how experienced you are on a rear wheel drive vehical but it happens. My transition from front to rear was a smooth once. That is what I thought, I to did spin out once on wet pavement. Then again, I had bold tires and did think it would happen.

Overall, you are still able to walk away. Please be careful next time out there.
