Lesson #3

The "big hit"

While following the betting pattern/strategy in lessons 1 and 2. Make sure that you are tracking all the numbers as they are lit up on the digital display next to the wheel.

Although knowing which numbers that have already hit have no statistical advantage to the player (hence the casino using them)...the display does however display "trends"....

Any given # will hit on the average of 35-40 spins... this is the reason for the 35 to 1 payout when you hit. If you are tracking which numbers have not hit after say 50 to 60 spins...then these numbers although the "odds" remain 35 to 1 that it will hit, the "probability" increases that they will eventually hit. Betting on "probability" and "trends" when done correctly can pay out big.. When done incorrectly or too soon can cost you money.

Staying on the wheel with average payouts....allow you to slowly increase the wager on a given set of numbers that have not hit in over 50-60 spins....ie 0 or 00 green. If a set of numbers have not hit then every other spin....increase your wager a small amount. If after 5-10 spins later one of the numbers finally hits.....you will have a decent wager for a "big hit' on the wheel.

Lesson #4

Betting Red or Black

This is considered an "outside bet" and at most tables must be $5 or more.

"Putting it all on Black" although seems like a 50/50 bet it is not... if fact when a player puts money on the red or black without a "cover bet" gives the casino an immediate 2% advantage because of the two green slots for 0 and 00.

Most casinos have the two green slots with the exception of a few such as the Stratosphere which has only one green 0. The odds are not only greater that you will hit any number....but they are decreased for the casino.

When betting $20 or more on red or black...you should cover your bet with $5 across the 0 and 00. (this is considered an "inside" bet and you can straddle the 2 numbers)

If you hit your red or black you will lose your $5 but win $15. Although you do not have to do this with a wager like $20 its very important that you do it for wagers over $100 on red or black.

On your $10 wager on red or black and you hit the 0 or 00 you will be paid $87.50. which equates to $2.50x35

So for a $100 wager on red or green you should bet $6 on the 0 and 00 which will pay $105. You will lose your $100 on red or black but will win $105 on the 0 and 00. This will allow you to again bet the red/green on the next spin.

When betting red green it is best to wait for trends over 10 spins to start your wager. Increase your wager if you lose until you win. This is called the "Martingale" betting strategy.

The most spins I've seen in Vegas was 15 spins of either red or black with a green 0 and 00 mixed in. So in this example if you started betting at the 11th spin on red with a $10 wager.....you will have wagered $310 to make $10.

Trends of over 10 spins of either red or black occur about once every 220 or so spins. If your playing smart and conservatively you will be on the table a long time and see 2 or 3 of these trends before your done....so make sure you look for them and are ready to wager on them.
