My day at Synapse Engineering
Just wanted to shair the pics from my day at Synapse Engineering with ya all.
We did a BOV swap on Seth's Z06 from the Bosch to the Synapse one's the car saw a gain of 20/25 HP and better drivablity with just this change.

Seths car 2003 Z06 with APS twin turbo.

Dave hard at work in his office

Peter hooking up the Z06 to the Dynapack

Baseline run

Dave still hard at work

Side by side the Bosch and the Synapse Engineering BOV

"you have any idea how this work's?" "nope no clue dude"

Horse Power curve was off the hook !!!!!

DAM !!! and that was not the high HP number of the day.

I had a lot of fun there yesterday! I learned a lot of things about how turbo's work. First and foremost, the plastic Bosch BOV's suck.
But what I really liked was the car was a bit more responsive and there seems to be a tad better gas mileage. I'm tracking the gas mileage now, but I would say that freeway gas mileage is about stock (last night I drove back to L.A. and I saw about 26-27 mpg average, an improvement of 1 mpg).
Interestly enough, we did a cruising load test w/ the dyno (I'm sure there's a more accurage name than that) and the car made LESS horsepower to cruise at the same RPM, pushing the same amount of power. This means that the car is getting BETTER gas mileage.
Also, the Synapse BOV's added about an extra 1/2 lbs of boost when flooring it up to it's peak boost. So, at x rpm, there might be 3 lbs of boost but at the same rpm w/ the new BOV's, there was 3.5 lbs of boost.
Anyways, I'll keep you guys posted...

Corey, you should put your flame suit on and talk about how we made less horsepower at cruising speeds. Or we do the 16yrOldTurboNSX handle

Seth got some impressive numbers
