Default need some help

Ok quick rundown. MY06 w/ ~93K. only mods are mishu. rad., invidia 70mm TP and Q300 exhuast.Main't
done like clockwork. came home from the track yesterday fine w/ no problem.

Woke up this a m and degreased and deatailed the engine bay. started it up after the recommended sit time...no problem.

several hrs later went to go grab a biteand check engine like started flashing. went home and saw code for misfire #3. switch plug to #1 cyl. then got misfire #1 and white smoke from exhaust.

Replaced all for plugs ( w/ oem ) inspected coils and no sign of arking. Still getting code for misfire #1 cyl. the ticking I hear doesnt sound like its coming from the block. Used my stethascope to listen on each cylinder. no more white smoke from exhaust but really rough idle and flashing check engine light still.

Going to do compression/leak test tomorrow. I've never had any issues before. Just had valve adjustment done ~ 6 months ago. Get it done once a year. Advice??

sounds like you got water in one of the coil pack connectors or one of the injectors, water runs down inside the connector to the injector and sits in the connector. It will short the signal out going to it and cause it to not open.. Let it dry overnight and it should be fine!

400 bucks on a what ifs ( rather spend it on my new seat ) call me @ 760 458 3511

the only other thing I can think of was that water got in somewhere when I was degreasing the motor dont see where or how. cover alternator, battery and pretty much any exposed wires
I could see either w/ a plastic bag or tape. could it seep through the sparkplug cover??
