Operation Crackdown
Here's another link to a fox5 article...there's actually a video in there too:

The reporter is a tool...but the chief of police actually sounds like he's got his head on straight. I feel sorry for the integra owner...I heard he actually might have been one of the guys towed at last week's eastlake meet.
This confirms that the operation is SD wide and not limited to chula vista

lol at the vafc making the car into a street racing mobile, and the short ram intake making the car dangerous, and 10-15k worth of mods. Looks like about 1k at best.
This kind of media labeling and spreading of misinformation by reporters is what get these kind of laws and things passed. All it takes is a congressmen to see this and be like "agh, those parts are dangerous!" and then they go away for all of us. While that may be a little over the top example, you can see where im going. This reporter should have have done a little bit of investigation before spouting out fairly stupid and made up facts. I know he was just trying my make his story sound more interesting, but cmon, that's pretty blatantly obvious.
The police chief seemed to have his head on his shoulders though. I hope they dont crush that type-R, because some dumbass kid was racing it. They should allow me to go buy it and turn it into a track monster

what a retard lol.... dude it sucks that idiots driving like asses screws it up for everyone !!
no one should go to any of those car meets if they dont wanna get hassled !! you gotta go to the high profile ones that cant get popped per say.... like eibach and the NRH meets and such... i know in SD there are some spots where people meet up and that is just askin for it from now on !!
shitty but reality !!
whats worse is that you gotta worry about eating dinner and hanging out with friends... like fusion... which by ignorance or the need to make some tickets/impounds could be viewed as a racing or trying to start a race venue
