well I was hoping a few small upgrades my respark my interest in keeping the car thats all. The feeling of getting a new toy for your S is fun, heck most of the parts I find online are good deals that they are usually already gone before I get to them. And if I do get the parts and I decide to sell my S then parts like those usually go for about the same price so no real loss of funds just time.

cost of ownership
If you add in the mods you intend to buy, it can get pricey....

I'm assuming that you "own" the S. Going from an S to a Civic beater is a downgrade IMO, even if your getting a 2 wheel toy to boot.

On the other hand, if your asking the question then if might be time for a change.

dont worry Back-Cracker no hard feelings... so any more suggestions on keeping the S or getting a beater and bike? from those of you have bikes, how much do you actually ride? or is it not worth it because i wont be riding as much and i'll probably be spening most of my time in the beater than anythign else? my job doesnt really require me to haul alot of stuff around or anything, just get from point A to point B, thats all. is riding a bike more fun than an S? thanks guys!

or better yet what are you guys doing to save money on gas or car expenses? i got most of my replacement parts from other members who have upgraded and are selling their stock parts, i must say i have been getting good deals (CAT$60, Struts and springs $100).

I do know that when riding a bike you gotta make sure to wear all the protective gear..... which makes it HOT during the summer!!

Depends on your income. If the maintenance of the S is too much, then maybe the car is beyond your means compared to your income/wealth. Sell it if you think it's what's best for your wallet.

You can always buy another one when you can better afford it.
