Default Servicing in SD

Hey All,

My girlfriend has a 1997 Civic EX that is just about to hit 75K miles... It needs an intermediate service and a timing belt change. Any suggestions as to where to go? Is she best off going to the dealer for $500? She lives in College Area, but works in Poway, so we're close to where ever. Any help would be great!

Thanks, Chris

Where has she taken her car in the past for service? If she has a history with a particular dealership service department and they've done right by her in the past, then she will probably get better service from them than going to any place we might recommend. Most people here try to do their own maintenance.

I thought that would be the case...She does not have a relationship with a dealer out here, as she and the car are from out of state...I appreciate the insight. Thanks, Chris

JC Service on Raytheon Road in Kearny Mesa, one block south of Clmt Mesa Blvd and 3 doors east of Convoy St. Wille the writer got canned, Jim from next door at TLC is covering right now... Jim owns a S... I know almost all the mechanics... Keno is , Micah is my exroommate he's (he'll be the one servicing my NSX someday, he says no, we'll see)..., Tim is a Civic Autocrosser, Murphy is the head mech... Joe is the owner but he looks like a worker bee... nice guy if he doesn't bite you...*G* Joes wife is the lady there, she's pretty cool but she drives as Lexus GS something coupe...

If you don't go there you're messing up...

r,

I can have my little cousin do it if it's a civic... She's 14, but she's got skills.
