Ive been on 4 cruises in the past few years. One 7 day with Royal Caribbean to Eest Caribbean. One 7 day with Carnival Cruise lines to Mexican Riviera. Another 7-day to Mexican Riviera but with Princess Cruise Lines. And a 4 day to ensenada with Carnival.

Here is what I thought:

Royal Caribbean- Classy atmosphere, newer ships, great for families. Great entertainment.
Carnival- REALLY fun for young adults.
Princess- More for mature adults and families. Excellent food and hospitality.

I liked the Mexican Riviera cruises most. Lost of adventurous things to do. For young couples

Alaska is like for old people. The cruise just had a lot older people around, but i hear if you go to the tropical places than the cruise should have more younger age people.

Do a lot of internet research before you pay anything, not only to research the ships, but there are tons of internet cruise specials out there

Some of the Carnival ships are old and shoddy

Norwegian and some of the Royal's have very nice ships and rooms

Trust me for 7 days you want a nice ship and room
