Someone decided to slash my top last night. They didn't take anything, or do any sort of other vandalism, just slashed the top, so I guess I was lucky.

Anyways, what are my options as far as a replacement goes? Can I get a slash across the top patched for relatively cheap, or is this going to require me to get a whole new top? (the slash is left to right if that makes a difference) What kind of prices am I looking at? My deductable is 500, so I'm trying to figure out if I will need to go through insurance.

Thanks.

Pay the 500 deductible, get the money for an OEM replacement. It should be about 1600-2k. With that money you could buy yourself a HT, Or there's this site that will sell you a canvas softop for about 500 bucks lifetime warranty and it's stronger than OEM.

Damn Joe...sorry to hear man. Must have been those drunken PB asses.

But Danny is right. Just pay the deductible and have a new top put in. Patching it wont help.

I had MY00 top slashed on New years and they quoted me around 1000 for the top and I think around 250-300 for labor. The top itself is worth around 1400-1500 but they said since it's a 10 year old top they can't give me the full price so offered me 1000ish instead

You're lucky they only slashed your top. Some assholes did the same thing and took my seats. What neighborhood do you live in?
