la jolla is nice but if you want to lay out on the beach it may not be the best place. there is not a ton of beach area. most of the cost is a cliff that you can climb on. there is a park to hang out on, last weekend when i was there there was live music. there is also a are where the sea lions sit on the beach and you can go look at them.

if you want a cool beach to chill i would recomend coronado. it is a really nice beach and there are a lot of cool place to eat and shop all located in walking distance. plus coronado is just a 5 min drive form downtown gaslamp. there are a lot of bars/clubs and good night life in the gaslamp district in down town.

^shops in coronado this is the main road in the city. every thing is walking distance.

 

if you want to check out some boats check out sea port village. it is just a walk or short troll ride from downtown.

there is shoping and food


and if you walk north a little you can see the midway aircraft carrier

 

if you have time check out gas lamp in the down town area. it is a really cool area with tons of food/drinks/shopping/clubs/convention center/ ballpark all in a few block radius.

i would also recomend checking out balboa park there are a ton of stuff to see there. there are museams, parks, fountain, japanese garden, ampa theater, arbutium, buldings and more.

I did visit part of the gaslamp area and we ended up at Pacific Beach.
We decided to come back in about three weeks for a 3 day weekend and enjoy ourselves alittle more.
I really liked your pictures and will show my girlfriend so we can decide what to do next time we go there.
