Default Visting for a day

Hey guys I just wanted to say that my girlfriend and I along with my younger brother are driving out in the morning to San Diego and I'm looking for any info that would help.

I heard Coronado beach is a great beach to visit. We are driving from Phoenix which I know will be a 5 hr drive, going to a beach and some food and then drive back around 6 or 7 a night.

I'm trying to find out what beach to visit to lay out and enjoy the ocean and is Coronado a good one to visit for first time visit to SD? Also what restaurant do you guys recommend while we're there?

Thx for any info guys.

Awesome thx for the fast response. How is the beach there? My girlfriend misses the beach since she's from Greece.

it's not bad it's the bigest beach in SD fine if you just want to get on the sand and play in a water. not the best if you want to surf but from AZ I'm sure you dont surf much.

I'm not sure how you feel about spending on food, but fine dining is a fantastic experience everywhere. La Jolla is a nice place to walk around and has a gorgeous beach to see, however parking can be difficult.

As for food there, I would highly recommend Jack's Dining Room in La Jolla. The Dining Room

I would also say, the San Diego Zoo is good! Although that can take up a pretty fair amount of time. Balboa Park is always nice, but with your limited time here, I'm not sure how interested in museums you might be. Really, I just like being in San Diego, I hope you enjoy it.
