Default What to do when I come Visit?

The lady and I are looking to escape Arizona for 4-5 days at the end of the month. I wont be bringing the S with me though.

I want to spend some time sitting and walking on the beach, visit Stone Brewery and get some good fresh fish, preferably near or on the water.

I have heard Mission Beach is a good place to go.

What local bars should I check out?
Restaurants?
Shopping?
Any car stuff happening the weekend of the 31?

I am looking to stay in a Hilton for the pts and Govt rates. Is the one near the Airport decent?

Zomg you're coming to SD? We should meet up if you got the CR with you

You can try out Phil's BBQ, Slaters 50/50, some Mexican food, etc.

Shopping places are Horton Plaza (downtown), Fashion Valley, Carlsbad Outlets, etc.

You can also check out Carlsbad, Oceanside, Del Mar, Solana Beach, La Jolla (all the coastal locations). There is the SD Zoo, Wild Animal Park, Belmont Park, Lego Land...not sure what you're into.

To me if I would visit, stay as close to downtown. That is were the most is happening. In my opinion, places to go is pretty spread out. SD County inst that big but if you decide to stay away fro touristy attractions. You will be driving to visit certain areas.

Nah no CR on this trip. I prefer the 4-door accord and 34mpg Plus then I dont have to worry about where I park it lol.

We should still meet up though! I'd love to meet some of you guys outside of the internet haha.

I am into pretty much everything. Def Lego Land and Zoo could be fun. I want to just be outside, walk around and not have much of an agenda. Im so burnt out from work and grad school i need a break.

Thank you. Yea ideally it would be nice to be close to where things are happening so im not forced to drive everywhere. Plus I plan on lots of cocktails so walking is my friend

Not into touristy things other than say the zoo and lego land.

Stick around Gaslamp area as there are a lot of places to "cocktail it up" and walk around.

Gaslamp would be your best bet to drink and get sloppy w/o driving.

Stop by Bay Park Fish, and try their macadamia encrusted halibut, you.will.not.regret.it.

Bay Park Fish
4121 Ashton Street San Diego, CA 92110
(Its a 5 minute drive from the airport)

La Jolla beach has allot of shops/restaurants in walking distance, it also is the best looking beach that I know of in SD
