I PMed Peter B. It turns out my S was modified with the Transformers Overdrive kit (#12 in the Binal-Tech series). The button triggers the change to Transformer mode, you just have to have VTEC engaged when you press it.

Now if you'll excuse me, me and my S are gonna go kick some Decepticon ass.

When I pushed it Chuck Norris punched me in the face. He apologized later after surgery, it turns out it's the manual panic button.
