Default What The Hell Is This Button?

I found this button under my driver's side dash and have no idea what it does. It doesn't do anything when I press it. Anyone know?

i think you can reset the maint light with key in ignition turned on and waiting x amount of seconds while pushing/holding down a button.

i did it once to reset mine, but if forget the exact steps.

Reset maintenance light is done by having key in off position and holding the Trip button, and then turning key into on position. I have no idea what that button is.
