There is SCCA at Qualcomm stadium on most Saturdays, I can get you some info if you want because one of my guys here at the shop runs his RX-8 down there... As for road racing or track days you would be helped most by hitting up Bradskee as he can def point you in the right direction ! Welcome

Welcome to San Diego! There's autocross available pretty much every weekend year-round; sign up on sdr-scca.com/solo2 and/or motorsportreg.com. Porsche Club events give you the most seat time per dollar, and have decent instructors; SCCA events are the most challenging, and the quality of instruction/helpfulness varies wildly.

As far as road courses go, Speed Ventures runs 2-3 reasonably priced events per month, including the S2000 Challenge.

PM me if you want any additional advice on registering/events/etc.

thanks jason!

bert come on out to karting on thursday and meet some people and i can give you some advice on where and when to run. everything from autox to track days. Theres just to many places to run and who to run with to post.

Send me a pm with your number and i can keep you posted on where and when we are all going. Also i have an event in the works that i will be hosting and organizing. It will be at perris raceway which is small track and its only going to be 50 bucks a head for 3 hours of track time.

Check out my youtube page bbiritz87 i have some videos on there of Perris from a few different s2ks. also at perris ill be allowing passengers so you can ride with some more expierenced drivers and have them ride with you.

Haven't locked down a date yet but expect atleast a two week heads up. I'm trying to get it on a Saturday night so we have time to get there rather than rot in traffic

Yeah it's almost complete and I'll be posting the details soon. I hear you Gavin I want to run so bad but there's no way I can host and drive. But I'll have a good time either way
