Default who has better coverage in SoCal

Need to get a new cell phone service, and I need to know who has better coverage.

Used to have T-mobile, but it always has a dead spot when you go over the hump on 52 east bound into Santee. Does Verizon have the same dead spot?

So besides that, any other coverage comments on either T-mobile or Verizon?

I'll take a look at work today and let you know. Those are both pretty expensive phones though. The Glyde is normally $199 after rebate and the 6800 is $449 after rebate but I'll take a look.

HAHAHA , with all the drop-calls I get and low bars with T-Mobile, no question, Verizon . I have had Trash-mobile since I was in the 11th grade of high school and right now I am a sophomore in college, believe me Verizon is the best (even though i never had them but through people giving me the better review, because they use to have a crappier phone service like T-mobile or Cingular, switched to Verizon), no wonder why Verizon is the most pricey, you get what you paid for.

Put this in persepective: Look at how T-mobile markets their stuff, their banners, their phones, and their logos. The Sidekick is really meant for the age group of 16-25, with all those cartoon designs in the sidekick, all those "child-like commercials", and all the deals set to people who talk a lot, 16-25 year olds. And look at Verizon, meant for the age group of 26-35, more for business people, has phones made specifically for travelling and business. Verizon is ranked #1 in customer service and quality of products. T-mobile and AT&T tied, AT&T being tied at 2nd because of sales of the Apple i-phone, and T-Mobile being able to market, since they are the cheapest with their best deals. Sprint ranks the bottom, but they use the same technology as Verizon, a little bit less towers though. "Verizon, America's most reliable network"

go ahead and pay a million dollars more for verizon and get just a tad better service... i worked for tmobile for 5 years and still have there service even though i could go where ever i want !

verizons service is old and limited !! CDMA FTL !!

GSM is the future !! including new hotsport at home, wi fi calling from anywhere with an internet connection which means perfect service at home as well !!

just do some searches online... verizon might have a little better service now but tmobile purchased 65 percent of all new spectrum for tower production which means new and better service coming up... and all companies drop over the 52 !

i heard you can check what spot you want and tmobile will tell you how many bars you will have in that place...

i like verizon...just costs way too much.....its like 40 bucks for 400 min, then if you wanna add unlimited text they charge you so much, i still dont understand why text cost so much..

plus i gotta hate...verizon new touch screens blow....im sorry...i wanted the glide but after i messed with it there was no way.

i wish cricket had a bigger calling area, cause 50 bucks for unlimted everything sounds so sweet

How is GSM the future? It supports less calls per channel. Not to mention most countries are slowly building their CDMA networks. Vodafone is the parent company of VzW and is the largest GSM network in Europe. They gave VzW $25+ billion to build their CDMA network, obviously they know CDMA is the future.

Cell phone service is just like cars, and everything else in life: You get what you pay for.

PeterB: The Glyde would be $149.99 ($50 off with your NE2 credit) and the XV6800 would be $299.99 ($50 off with NE2 + $100 off if you get an Unlimited data plan).
