Default Do Work Seller Feedback - The Marketplace Template is Required for a reason

I want to disclose in this feedback that I had interacted interacted with this member before. In May of 2020 I sold him an ETD bracket and everything went smoothly from start to finish. After that transaction I assumed he was like many of the members with whom I have interacted throughout the years on the forum, a pretty stand-up person. A couple weeks ago I saw that he had put some parts up for sale which included what he described as OEM side strakes. The post that he made listed a number of parts and as of the posting of this thread still does not have pictures associated with the parts, which goes against Rule #5 for posting on the Marketplace. With actually having what he described, I gave him the benefit of the doubt since I had pretty good interaction with him previous, which was my first mistake. We spoke about the part arranged a time for me to PayPal him and everything seemed like it was going smoothly. In the time from when he posted the thread to when I had sent the payment to him, he still had not updated the post and with pictures. When sending the payment I accidentally chose Friends and Family which was my second big mistake which could have remedied my current situation. But again I based my previous encounter with him I thought it wouldn't be terribly bad. After receiving them I asked about brackets for the strakes and he informed me that he never installed them and that he got them from someone else prior. Days after that it I sent it over to my body shop guy for some fitment checks and to see how he would do about trying to fabricate a brackets for them. He then told me that they were replicas and gave me a comparison image of OEM ones.
OEM

Replica

After finding that out I reached out to Do Work about sending them back and I told him what by body work guy told me and gave him the picture of the OEM one along with a picture of what I was given.

He then proceeded to tell me that "They are not replicas, they came off a car from the factory. They have the Honda stamp in them." Which is not an embossed or raised "Honda" or part number but a literal stamp that says "Honda". I then sent him the installation manual the my body work guy sent me to show again that the part that he gave me was not OEM based on the instructions.

Above are comparison pictures of the two strakes one with the black background are the OEMs and the other are the replicas. If I am wrong please let me know, I like to know that I paid OEM prices for an OEM part and not a replica. After I sent him the text with the installation manual he stopped responding so I assume he blocked me.

From his perspective I'd understand why he he would do it, he sold his s2000 and he's getting rid of all of the parts associated with the car, he's already got my money and there's not much I can do myself. And I'm guessing since he might be on his way out he doesn't really care about his standing in the s2ki community. And as of me putting this post up he still hasn't provided any pictures of any of the parts that he listed. I do hope that the person who bought the "OEM AP2 Lip" did in fact get and OEM AP2 Lip because it would be disappointing if what happened to me happened to another person.

I just wanted to have this here for anyone who might be interested in buying anything from Do Work. The Marketplace template is there for a reason - one of sure fire ways of knowing what you're getting is if you can see it first. Make sure you use PayPal Goods and Services for your own protection. And if possible look at seller feedback on the member to gauge how transacting with that person be.

You're way out of line, they are not replica, they are genuine OEM side strakes, I told you I did not have the brackets before you sent payment. Also the ETD and Bracket you sold me did not fit, I still have it for proof, I had to end up ordering a brand new one from Js racing, I will go ahead and write up a feedback for you as well. I have done hundreds of transactions on here and I have never had a bad interaction with anyone who has purchased items from me.

Look to be the same from this thread https://www.s2ki.com/forums/s2000-mo...plete-1192427/

They look to be OEM, but they are missing pieces, quite a few in fact.

I purchased the OEM AP2 Lip. The seller was responsive and honest. The lip has Honda markings (engraving) and I believe it to be OEM. Seller provided accurate pictures and description of the lip. It was also packaged very well and was not damaged in shipping. I appreciated the effort the seller went through to make sure the lip was in tact.

I couldn't find a direct guide to identify OEM vs. rep for lips but I am 99% sure it's OEM between the markings and hardware. The seller acted in good faith and I hope that you two are able to figure things out.

I appreciate this, Thank you, the buyer of the strakes seems to be just looking for something to complain about, If I cared enough, I could share screenshots of the correspondence, the truth is I ignored and turned down all other interested parties and held the strakes for him for over a week without a deposit so he could collect the funds available to purchase. I was nothing but kind and responsive. Again both the lip and the strakes came factory on a car, they were both OEM. I didnt have hardware for either the lip or the strakes, it is not hard to throw some two way tape on the strakes mount them and call it a day. I'm done entertaining this nonsense.

Peace and Love to all.
