Well fortunately after emailing the vendor again, I got my rail. Luckily things didn't go worse, again my intention was to share my experience and give a heads up to future buyers.

Yomny,

Just seeing this thread now for the first time

Unfortuantely the seat rail kit was on back order an the manufacturer did not inform us until we did out own inquiry after not getting our tracking as requested. A simple communication issue, which unfortunately is not the first time its happened with this supplier. We now keep a closer eye on this suppliers stock for us. In the end we tracked down the rail from another vendor that had one and shipped it expedited to your door to get it there as soon as we could.

Your order was for a customer order seat, then you decided to cancel it due to money issues, then switch to another, than cancel all together in the end. I cant even remember how many phone calls we had back and forth, but more than a few by far. We did our best to roll with the punches and work with you to get a seat that was in stock and in the end i guess we just couldnt help you out in the end as you said you needed the money for other things. All I can do is try.

Three sides to every story...I have a feeling there is more to this...but I digress...

Guys... the Seller Feedback thread is to post experiences for others to learn from, especially with private vendors or new businesses. If you had a negative experience and part of it was due to your negligence or lack of clarification, there is diminished value to these threads. We get questions all the time from other members asking about a seller or vendor and the Moderators often refer them to the Seller Feedback thread as a starting point. When all the history is not disclosed, a private seller or vendor may lose out on a potential sale. This doesn't help the buyer or the seller.

Anyway, I've had gotten a lot of feedback recently on transactions (mainly between members) but I saw this one and I figured I'd chime in.

FWIW, I never posted my "negative" experience with GT Motoring on my towhook experience. I told them I want one, I picked it out and forgot to reply to his PM for 4 months.. then, I heard my friend was going to his shop and asked him to pick it up for me. GT Motoring, at that time, didn't have a towhook. Can't really blame him for not "holding" one for me for 4 months, especially without paying for it. Anyway, this is the kind of post I don't want to see out there because here is how it would read:

I ordered a towhook from GT Motoring that was on order for four months. I had my friend go to the shop and they sold mine without telling me. I was told I didn't have to put a deposit down and now I've got race wars this weekend and I don't have a towhook. GT Motoring sucks, I'm never buying from them again. I'll use Ebay Motorsports since they are a better vendor and get their parts overnighted from Japan.

Apparently no one can overnight anything from japan lol.

Ebay blows unless its personal sellers.
Usually.

Hi,
I ordered in April front and rear fenders, but so far has not received.
You do not respond to inquiries by e-mail, how to know when my order is ready? I have made several phone calls, I was told just to call me when the order is ready. I do not like that answer.

Um so you paid for a seat this past Friday (the Friday before a 3 day weekend) at noon and then it was shipped out the next business day which was TUESDAY because no mail was moving Monday and all carriers were closed. No offense but that still a good turn around time for a small company to get stuff out. They were probably filling orders that came in on Thursday so yours got pushed to Tues.

As for the seat rail i do understand that you were mad but always check the contents of your package. I wouldn't just start tearing apart my car without knowing that everything I ordered was in my box.

In short I understand why you are annoyed but in reality it is not the end of the world. I have waited much longer for things to be delivered and have had things never show up and had to fight with seller. Calm down and have a little patients before getting all up in arms.

This post is to advise all members to not purchase anything from GT Motoring or Challange-USA. Both companies are owned by Greg Haye. The man is a liar and a thief.
My story:
I purchased a custom colored set of SSR Type F wheels from Greg back in April of 2012. I didnt personally know him, he was just a SSR dealer. Being a custom color, he told me that it would be a 3.5 month wait which I was good with so I went ahead and placed the order and paid in full which was required to place the order. After about two monthes I emailed Greg to see if he could check on the order to see if it was still on track, I didn't recieve an answer. I called and his salesman told me Greg would call me back. He never did. When month 4 came along and I still had not recieved my wheels I called Greg to see where they were. He said he would check and call or email me back. I recieved an email from him a couple of days later saying that he checked with SSR and it would be another 2-3 weeks. After three weeks and no resposnes from Greg after trying many times to get a hold of him I called SSR directly to check on my order. THEY INFORMED ME THAT GT MOTORING HAD NO ORDERS PLACED!!! I couldnt believe it, I was shocked. SSR three way called Greg to see what the situation was and Greg lied to them saying that it was a former salesman that he has since fired forgot to place the order. (I never dealt with anyone but Greg) He asured me that the order would be placed at that time and he even issued me a 250 dollar credit in good faith. I was mad but the 250 made the sitiaution better. Another two monthes passed and I called SSR to check on the order, (at this point I didnt even want to talk to Greg) My contact at SSR told me that Greg still had not paid them and the order was placed but not proccessed. I called Greg, and after many attempts go a hold of his salesman and asked for a full refund. He said it was issued but I have still not seen the money in my account. Long story short, avoid this company!!! They are dishonest theifs!
